We instantly liked Simon from McClearys. They are a local company, and we knew they had sold several properties in the streets around ours. Simon was very straight forward, explained our selling points and was spot on with a price for sale.  He quickly arranged for photographs to be taken and waited for a good evening that week to take the front of house photo. The photos were emailed to us for approval, and McClearys had their "sign guy" out within a couple of days and our house was promoted online within 48 hours. The first viewings were arranged for the week following and a buyer was secured within that first week - an outstanding achievement!

 

The pressure was now on for us to find somewhere to go. We saw many houses and even put offers on a few, but to no avail.  Then we saw our house online....We knew it was our house and It happened that McClearys were the estate agents for this property too. We arranged a viewing with Alan, and we quickly confirmed what we knew already, that this was THE house.

We put an offer on for the asking price, and got a call to say that it had been countered.  We did a quick calculation and made our final offer.  It definitely helped that McClearys knew our property was sale agreed, and that we had no chain behind us, and we got a call to say our offer was accepted. We were delighted.

Everything moved very nicely, and Simon was very good about touching base to let us know of any developments from the other sides.

 

The final 6 weeks, however, were very stressful with solicitor related shenanigans!! Simon was brilliant during this sticky phase he talked us off the ledge on numerous occasions.
